I've had it out a couple of times and it performs well. Would like to see it come iwth a better prop, but satisfied so far.See more

I bought an Edge 55 and upon installing/testing noticed the prop would not spin. Upon further inspection I noticed one of the wires was outside of the inner electric motor assembly (see picture), causing it to rub and get stuck against the field magnets on the outside shell which houses the inner motor assembly. This brings into question why this was assembled incorrectly to begin with (this isn't something that likely could have occurred post-assembly) and also why no one tested this unit to make sure it functioned (either by running it or even attempting to rotate the prop shaft by hand). Very disappointed in the quality of this product considering Minn Kota's reputation.See more
